In a world where so many people are experiencing their own financial struggles,

I was hesitant to post this but our family could use some help and much PRAYER. Tragedy has struck and my 13-year-old nephew, Matthew, is currently in the fight of his life, as he begins treatment for Leukemia.

Matthew is the sweetest, most genuine 13-year-old boy who loves his friends and family. He is an avid church-goer and loves the Lord!! He is a kind, caring brother and role model to his 6-year-old sister; adores his mother, Edina, and his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. We all are beyond saddened by his sudden, unfortunate diagnosis and are learning how to support each other through such crisis.

Matthew’s mother, Edina, who is my dearest sister, is a kind, caring, compassionate person who does NOT hesitate to lend her hands to help whenever called upon!! She needs to be able to stay by Mathew’s side while he starts chemotherapy on Monday, July 11th, 2022 and will therefore, be unable to return to her work where she renders care to persons with disabilities. Edina is a single, marvelous mother who has ALWAYS put her children first!!

We are humbly asking for donations of any amount to help our Dear Mathew and his mother to ensure she can devote her time and attention to getting him back healthy, which is his baseline. ALL donations will go toward covering the cost of rent while she is absent from work tending to Mathew’s varied needs as well as toward food, transportation, medical bills and the like. The mental and financial burdens that result from a cancer diagnosis and chemotherapy treatments have the potential to further a family’s suffering.
