A Child born without Apret Syndrome

Donation protected
Luke and Jessica have been happily married for almost three years, and there is only one thing in the world that these two want – a child born without the suffering of Apert Syndrome.

Jessica was born with a malformation of her bones, called Apert Syndrome, a rare birth defect. As an infant, she underwent many miserable cranial-facial surgeries. Her fingers were joined like mittens, and it took several operations to make them fully functional.

People always told Jessica what she couldn’t do!

Because of her syndrome, people always told Jessica what she could never do. She would probably not marry. She could never have a child, because her syndrome has a 50% possibility of being inherited. She would never succeed in school, because Apert children just didn’t.

Jessica chose not to believe it.

Of course, it wasn’t just a matter of telling herself something. She did well academically in school, but she often came home furious or in tears. She looked different, so she was subjected to abuse and bullying by her peers. Jessica soon learned to fight back, which, when channeled, proved useful.

Jessica’s positive strength grew as she did.

She got her driver’s license and graduated high school, like many young ladies. She landed a job and rented an apartment. Unlike many other women, she decided to buy her own home at the age of 23 and did so.

What next?

By this time, Jessica’s family was not really surprised when she announced she was dating someone – and it was serious! She soon became engaged to Luke. It was obvious that Luke thought her beautiful inside and out. Luke is hard-working with a huge heart that is only matched by his smile and good nature.

It would seem Jessica had everything now, wouldn’t it? Most women would be quite content to own a home, have a good job and a handsome husband!

Luke and Jessica have been happily married for almost three years, and there is only one thing in the world that these two want – a child born without the suffering of Apert Syndrome.

Jessica knows she can do this, too, with your help!

The sole purpose of this fund is to allow Jessica and Luke a child without the shadow of her heritable syndrome. They have been informed that the cost to have a donated egg implanted may range from $40,000 - $60,000, which they do not have. If IVF does not work for them adoption would also be a welcomed option.

You can give Luke and Jessica the opportunity to share their happy home with a child free from the pain Jessica endured.

Please donate now. It is very much appreciated.

Thank you so much!
