THATS RIGHT... here we are again!
This is our current Life of Pikelet Rescue fundraiser for EVERYTHING we are in need of right now!
To break this down and show you how we came up with this goal, please have a look at the following. We are listing in order of where the donations will go to as they come in. So if we only raise say $5000, you can see where our priority first $5000 is going to go to and what is left and who is left (in our rescue) to receive their fundraising.
So, from order of priority to least (though this is a fundraiser of full priority and not just a *wish list* fundraiser):
1) Evelyn Couch - Chihuahua, specialist vet bills already that we need to pay are in excess of $800. Evelyn needs a pretty urgent Ultrasound next, and may even need an MRI in the future. But for now she needs a further $1500 for ultrasound and diagnostics with a specialist medicine vet. $2300 total.
2) Parmigiana - British Bulldog, our amazing boyo who has been in foster care for well over 12 months without a single adoption application, is finally booked for both his double cherry-eye surgery and desexing surgery (Parmigiana has spina bifida hence why we have waited for his desex surgery). His foster carer has already raised $1500 but we need to find an extra $1000. So his total right now is $1000.
3) PizzaPie - Staffy x ?, this little pound pup boyo has now been in foster care for just over a week, we are getting him ready for adoption and need to book his next two vaccinations, microchip and desexing surgery in. All up we estimate (with our rescue discounts) $800 is needed just for his vet work. His total is $800.
4) Neonates in care - we have 3 neonates currently in the nursery. They are twin blue English staffies, brother and sister "Parsnip" & "Pepperberry" with matching cleft lips and partial cleft palates. And our big beautiful Golden Retriever girl Pecorino who is nearing 3 weeks old, she has a full hard and soft cleft palate and suffers currently from flat chest syndrome and needs to where a corrective brace. At the moment these puppies are drinking 1L a day of Leerburg formula, which is costing me approximately $18per day. I would like to raise funds to cover the next four weeks of daily formula, I just can't afford to keep paying for this myself out of pocket (and pay all the power bills to run the nursery 24/7). I'm hoping to raise $18 x 4 weeks which is a total of $504.
5) Our Sanctuary Paddock animals - two miniature ponies (Polliwog & Piglet) from a neglect case, and three female doe deer (Pony, Prize & Promqueen) all need yearly vaccinations, vet checks and some specialist feed (more for the ponies). I've been holding off this bill for as while but it really needs attention asap. Their total need is $1900
6) The five remaining Wolfhound/staghound/greyhound/mastiff babes - with one adoption pending and adoption handover coming up in late June, we will have 4 remaining hounds still waiting for their adoption! I've worked out that with our rescue discount I need $520 to get these babes up to date with vaccinations. Their total is $520
7) Pierogi - our fat little pocket bully has been adopted into a wonderful family and now goes by the name "Sherman". As is part of our adoption contract, we cover desexing. Sherman only has one testicle and he has some teeth issues. Both our rescue needs to cover in a specialist surgery, with our rescue discount, we have worked out that we need to raise a total of $1000.
8) RAW FOOD - it's the song that never ends! We feed almost all babes here at LoP raw food, either partially or for all meals. While we are in credit just a tiny bit, we are about to put in an order for this week that will need to find a further $1000 for. So our total (for now) is $1000.
9) Solid custom made safety gates - for years we have been using metal baby gates to corner off parts of LoP HQ. We have dogs that are reactive and not suited to coexisting with others. "Baby" gates have moderately done the job but they are just not as safe as we need. We have two urgently needed wooden solid gates that need to be built. A professional carpenter has been engaged and has quoted. One gate is $500 and the other is $800, both will be custom build and installed within this cost. The total is $1300
10) INCUBATOR + OXYGEN CONCENTRATOR - for YEARS we have been getting by with two now very damaged and run down incubators. The function to humidify is completely broken and all the incubators do now is heat. This is not the standard of care we need to provide and it's failing us. We also have been blessed with multiple oxygen concentrators from the AMAZING business in the US "Puppywarmer". Unfortunately these machines are not built to be on 24/7 for years and years at a time. Our only current working machine that barely works at 50% capacity, has been running for over 1100+ hours. We are DESPERATELY needing a new incubator and oxygen concentrator. Luckily Puppywarmer has a deal going at the moment for both + all the extras needed. The cost is $2150USD, which is about $3400AUD. Then we need a further $800 for international courier and $200 to cover an American - Australian power converter to run both machines via our power outlets. All up, the total is $4400.
11) Nursery things and stuff - With three neonates and little Evelyn, I am in urgent need of 2 different human baby bassinets. I've found both secondhand on market place, one is $300 and the other is $200. The $300 one is actually a hospital grade crib for newborn babies. I also am in desperate need of supplies like colosseum powder, tubes, syringes, nutrigel, miracle nipples (I gave my last away to a breeder recently) and so on. I've guesstimated as moderately as I can, that I'll need about $600 for these supplies. So the total here is $1100
12) Skip bin - yes I've left this last, yes it's no where near as urgent as any of the above, but this is still urgent. The property that HQ is on had a previous owner who had a large earth moving business and a young family. The volume of unsafe rubbish that was left on this property is something I have been chipping away at removing to the tip and via skip bins for the past few years. This includes sharp objects like broken glass, car parts, chemicals in drums and then when piled up it becomes a haven for snakes. I really urgently need to remove this large pile of waste for safety alone. One last jumbo skip from our local skip hire business will do the trick, that total cost is $800.

We know fundraising and donating to a little rescue like ours is probably the last thing most can do, we totally get it. But if you have a little to spare, a little goes a long way where there are many doing the same. Every ounce of support we get, we very much appreciate.
Many many many thanks in advance xxx
