Hi, my name is Tina Bell, and I’m starting this fundraiser for my one of my best friend's son, Chaz Morales. At only 26 years old, Chaz is facing a life-changing challenge after a recent injury that has left him unable to work—and with no health insurance, the medical bills are overwhelming.

On Sunday, September 28, Chaz suffered a motorcycle accident that crushed his right foot and ankle and left him with severe road rash across his body. He underwent his first surgery on Wednesday, October 1, where doctors placed pins and rods to straighten the bones and fitted him with an external fixator for two weeks. Once the swelling goes down, he will face another surgery. His recovery is expected to take three to four months, and even then, doctors warn he may live with lasting pain in his foot and ankle.

Because of this accident, Chaz cannot return to work, leaving him with no income to cover basic living expenses or the growing pile of medical bills. Costs include hospital stays, surgeries, follow-up care, medications, physical therapy, and everyday necessities like rent, food, and utilities. Every dollar raised will go directly toward covering these costs and helping Chaz stay afloat while he focuses on healing.

Chaz is a quiet but hardworking young man with a strong work ethic and a true passion for the culinary world. He was building his career as a sous chef at Stefano’s Trattoria in Winter Springs, a job he loved deeply. In fact, right after his accident—before even calling his parents or an ambulance—his first thought was to call his boss to say he couldn’t make it to work on Monday. That’s the kind of dedication and heart Chaz brings to everything he does.
