"A Change in Tone" - A VFS Short Film about Love & Loss
Donation protected
STORY:
After a traumatic loss, a group of friends must work through their grief together. During the healing journey, one of the group members starts having feelings for the other. He must face the decision to risk the loss of another friendship for something more. A Change in Tone follows the intertwining effects of love and loss.
DIRECTORS STATEMENT:
I wrote this story with a theme that most everyone can identify with and value: take advantage of the time you have with those you hold close. "A Change in Tone" explores how easily a simple saying can take on a different meaning between those who have both enjoyed and suffered much together. Through this story I hope to show how a little expression, can hold a whole new definition.
WHY WE NEED FUNDING:
Creating a short film is an awesome experience, however it is expensive. From renting lights and lenses to feeding cast and crew and even purchasing small items like pens and paper for scripts, the cost to produce a project like this can add up. We hope you'll partner with us to bring this vision to life. As a start-up film production company, we are already coming with some high grade equipment, strong film backgrounds, volunteer crew and partial funding from our own previous works. But to make this ambitious project a reality, we need a little more help. Even $5 can help us toward feeding a volunteer crew member or help toward renting premium lenses to provide that Cinematic look we all love. The funding will go towards feeding the cast and crew, renting the necessary film equipment such as larger lights and higher quality lenses, and production design, so we can provide the best quality film to you, our supporters. We love collaborating with other great artists and dreamers, and we would be especially honored if you would collaborate with us on this breakout project.
MEET THE TEAM:

SETH CHAPMAN [Writer/Director]
Seth serves as a DOP and a Gaffer at Visceral Film Studios in Gainesville, GA. With a background in sports videography and film cinematography, Seth holds the experience to make any shot pop. However, having written this story himself, he wanted to stretch his skillset towards directing. Seth views this film as an opportunity to direct a film with a serious tone.

DYLAN HALLORAN [Cinematographer]
Dylan Halloran is an aspiring film student from the University Of North Georgia. Starting in high school with live broadcasting and graphic design, Dylan found his love for cinematography during his first year of college and has been hard at work ever since trying to harness his craft and develop his own visual style. While normally serving as a camera operator or assistant, A Change in Tone will be Dylan's first opportunity at creative direction with the camera. He sees this film as his chance to prove to himself and his peers that he can tell an enthralling visual story that connects with the audience and makes them feel fully immersed in the film.

PEDRO VERA [Producer]
Pedro Vera is a Cuban-American actor and filmmaker currently serving as the Lead Director at Visceral Film Studios. For A Change in Tone, he will lead the team as the film's producer. His film accolades include, Cafecito, Gardens of Ridahn, and A Devil in God's Country, which appeared in international film festivals.
