Pumpkin has now been on strict box rest for almost three months, yet we still don’t have a clear diagnosis. During this time, he has been seen by multiple vets, including orthopaedic and internal medicine specialists. Despite extensive investigations — including nerve blocks, full lameness work-ups, X-rays and joint blocks — we are no closer to finding the cause of his severe lameness.

We have already spent thousands of pounds trying to get answers, and although Pumpkin is currently on pain relief, it’s heartbreaking and unfair to see such a young pony in ongoing discomfort with no clear path forward.

Pumpkin is only three years old and has always been full of character, mischief and life. He is dearly loved and deeply missed by his field Friends Magic and Willow who are all waiting for him to return to normal, playful and pain-free.

Our final remaining option is a bone scan, which we hope will finally give us answers and allow us to move forward with the right treatment. The funds raised will go directly towards this investigation and any treatment that may follow.
