On February 8th, 26-year-old Annie Luna's life changed forever. A tragic car accident has caused Annie to become paralyzed from her ribcage down (T6 paraplegic). Annie was raised in the City of Newburgh, graduated from Newburgh Free Academy, and graduated from SUNY Orange with a degree in Physical Therapy Assisting. While attending SUNY Orange, Annie was a caretaker for her 19-year-old sister Michelle who has down syndrome. At SUNY Orange, Annie was treasurer of the PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant) club and secured funding for her class's pinning ceremony.
Annie is struggling to imagine herself living a happy and productive life after the accident. Annie is worried about her future and what the rest of her life will now look like. We would like to ease some of Annie's concerns by raising the funds necessary to ensure she can continue to thrive despite the hardships that are to come. It is going to be a long recovery for Annie that will require a lot of medical treatments, accessibility equipment, and other services to improve her quality of life after this tragic accident.
Please help us raise the funds necessary to assist Annie and the Luna family during this very difficult time. All proceeds will be deposited into a third-party supplemental needs trust for Annie Luna, managed by family.
Thank you for your love and support.
