A Chair for a Child – Seating the Future

30 years ago, in classrooms in St Rose’s Senior High School, Akwatia in the Eastern Region of Ghana, we sat with hopes and ambitions for the future. The education we received helped shape who we are today.

Now, as we celebrate our 30th Anniversary, we want to give back to the school that gave us so much; a LEGACY.

And we need your help.

The “A Chair for a Child” campaign aims to provide desks and chairs for classrooms so that every student has a proper place to sit, write, learn, and plan their future.

Imagine walking into a classroom full of energy, curiosity, and hope - but there isn’t a seat for you.

For students who are eager to learn and determined to succeed, something as basic as a desk and chair can make an enormous difference.

Education changes lives. We know this because St. Roses changed ours.

Our goal is to provide 200 desk-and-chair sets, helping ensure that students can learn in comfort, dignity, and confidence. No student should have to struggle to learn simply because there isn’t a seat or enough space available for them.

The Impact of Your Support

Your donation will go directly toward providing classroom furniture for students at St. Roses Senior High School.

Every contribution helps:

- £30 – Provides a chair for a student

- £40 – Provides a desk for a classroom

- £70 – Provides a full desk and chair set for one student

- £2,100 – Helps equip an entire classroom
