A Celebration of Life- Robbie Bokenfohr
Donation protected

Whenever a friend loses a child, the news comes like a kick in the gut. It takes time to process and accept. Life is often unfair and impossible to make sense of, and hearing that someone you care about is experiencing every person’s worst nightmare, is hard.
Annette and Loran Bokenfohr lost their 20-year-old son, Robbie, to a farm accident on October 27th,2019. We are all devastated. Among the many grieving are his 4 siblings - Janna(Brandon),Joe(Jordan),Anne, and Mary. He was especially close to his two little nieces, Abby and Amber, who affectionately called him Uncle Bob:)
They have many powerfully strong memories with their vibrant youngest son and brother to cling to, the support of our incredible, close-knit Busby and Westlock communities, and his passing is helping others live through organ donation. Always trying to find the good in every terrible situation is all we can do.
Robbie was attending Lakeland College with aspirations to join Loran and Joe on the family farm - which has recently received Organic Certification. Robbie was a true cowboy. He loved the farm and had already made plans to live a long, happy life there with his childhood sweetheart and fiance, Brooke Stewart. Although young, Annette often referred to him as an old soul, and we were all very excited about another upcoming Bokenfohr wedding!
Loran and Annette have lived and farmed in the Busby area for 24 years. They are respected and beloved members of the community. Generous and giving, their kindness has always been inspiring.
Now they need our help. The pressures of keeping up with their farm in this harsh Alberta climate, combined with the grief of losing their son, is immeasurable. Please keep the Bokenfohr family in your prayers and donate if you’re able. All money raised will be gifted directly to the family to assist with any and all expenses needed at this time.
Any amount, no matter how big or small, will be a true gift to this amazing family.
*** Robbie was an organ donor. His kind spirit and generosity has saved the lives of at least 5 people - one of them a young child. I would like to encourage all of you to consider signing your donor card.
Sincerely,
Lorinda Sparling
