This is really hard to say…
As many of you know, my mother-in-law, Nira Eloul, recently passed away. She was an incredible human being who positively impacted every person/child she encountered. She was a teacher, an educator, a mentor, an innovator, a rule breaker, a photographer, an artist, a writer, and so much more. She paved the way for kids, immigrants, and many in the Jewish community, reaching across cities, states, and countries. Nira educated and empowered generations.
We have been contacted by so many who loved her, who not only want to pay tribute but also deserve to be able to say a proper ‘goodbye’.
We would love to be able to host a Celebration of Life worthy of her legacy and be able to invite everyone who is mourning with us.
Those who knew her know what an incredibly generous and giving person she was during her lifetime. And it breaks my heart to say that as a result, she did not leave the family with the financial means for a memorial.
So as hard as it is to ask for help, we don’t have a choice. We are hoping that with a little bit of monetary help from each of you, we as a family, as a community can raise enough money to honor her memory in the way she deserves.
We don’t yet know how many people will attend or the exact amount we will need. Please know that if by some miracle we raise more than necessary, the remainder will be donated in Nira’s name to one or several causes she was so passionate about. If that occurs, we will announce the details at the Celebration of Life event.
Thank you all for your love and support during this difficult time. And thank you for reading this and helping spread the word.
Sincerely,
Yana Eloul
