Hello! Those that know me will also know in a crazy cat lady!!

I used to foster for a local charity but quickly realised I’m not very good at it as I wanted to keep them all!

Our fantastic rescue centres are full to the brim with cats and kittens and the situation is only getting worse without proper education on neutering and the cost of looking after a fabulous feline friend!

I completely understand that sometimes there is no choice but to rehome a cat; a change of circumstances, a family break up, a death can all lead to the heartbreaking decision of having to let out fluffy friends go and with more and more kittens behind born, there is simply no space in the rescue centres and sanctuaries.

I have a HUGGGGE garden, it’s kinda like a meadow and as such a I have a great space in which I can do something meaningful.

My plan is to build a cattery/catio to not only benefit my own cats that I have ‘adopted’ but to also be an extra space for any rescues that may need a little extra space. Think of it as a cat hotel! Even for owners that may need a little respite and for those kitties that I look after when there is nobody else!

This will absolutely be a voluntary thing, Tobie (my oldest daughter) is currently working through various cat related courses and hopes to eventually go into veterinary care … she also has autism and to be able to look after animals is very therapeutic for her.

Now, I’m not the richest of people, single parent with a basic wage job so building a cattery/catio is not something I can do off my own back, I’m absolutely willing to dig holes for fence posts and put something together but I also cannot afford to buy all the materials I need, so, I’m hoping to raise a bit of cash to buy posts, panels, mesh and enrichment to put into the catio/cattery.
