A Catio for the Stray Cats

Hello. My name is Rachel Chambers-Bowen. I have lived in this area my entire life. Over the course of the last several years I have noticed an abundance of stray cats. Many are dropped off and others have just came from reproduction. I have had over 100 cats spayed or neutered. I find them in horrible shape and get them the vet care needed. I take them in and feed them and nurse them back to health. I try to find homes for them but that is nearly impossible. Rescues and shelters are full and mostly only want the kittens anyway. I have managed to end up with several of the cats staying with me while I also feed and care for several others that are still on the street. My goal is to build a nice catio so not only the cats I have already can enjoy the outdoors but to also take in the other remaining ones from the street to keep them safe and healthy. From my guesstimate I am looking at around $3000 for materials and labor, maybe more. I’ve had a few donations for this project already but still need a lot more. This will keep the cats off the streets, out of your garbage bins, out of your yards, off your porches, and most importantly it will keep them safe. I am asking for all Delbarton area residents to consider donating to this project. I will definitely post pictures and updates if I get enough funds to make it happen. By doing what I do I have saved this town from being bombarded won’t tons more of cats. Any local business that would like to chip in is more than welcome also. Please help me make this happen so these cats will be taken care of like they deserve. Thank you.
