Are you among those who admire Afghans who risked their lives to support the US government during the war? If so, we are reaching out for your help. A new friend, Obaidullah Hotak, is now blessed to be in Columbus on a Special Immigration Visa (SIV), an honor given to him based on his earlier support. He is desperately in need of reliable automobile transportation for the job he fortunately began in late August.

I am David Sapper and working with a small group of volunteers who, to date, have helped Obaidullah look for employment, find an apartment, cover initial months of rent, and furnish it. Happily, he now has a job installing digital water meters here in Columbus. He is borrowing a car, but this is not sustainable because the owner needs it as well. Each day, Obaidullah goes to work at different locations around Columbus and is in critical need of his own transportation. He and we his support team, would be very grateful if you can contribute something/anything to this cause. We're looking to fund a reliable car plus a few months of insurance and think this might cost up to $6000. Our initial goal is to raise half this amount but ideally, all that is needed.

Lastly, if any of you have or know of a car that would be appropriate for Obaidullah, please let me know and we can discuss purchase once we have raised enough funds.
