A car for Sammie Jackson

Hi, my name is Cathy Bilbrey. My team members and I want to raise enough money to help get Sammie a car. A few months ago, Sammie visited a flea market in the Houston area. Unfortunately, Sammie didn't realize he was being followed, and when he attempted to leave, he was carjacked by three guys. One of the guys tried to throw him out of his vehicle, but Sammie tried to hang on and was dragged. Thankfully, his only injuries were road rash on his back, elbow and knees. He was so excited that he finally had a reliable car and these three guys took it from him.

Anyone that knows Sammie knows no matter what the circumstances are, he always keeps a smile on his face. He has worked at CiCi's Pizza for 14 years. During those 14 years, he has managed to get to work by bus, family, friends and finally by driving by car. He ALWAYS shows up. Through the years, his medical issues have worsened, but he doesn't let that stop him. Along with his disability, he was diagnosed with Lupus. Yet, he still shows up to work with a smile. He will joke and say, Can't I ever catch a break? I hope he can finally get the break he deserves with the money raised. Any extra money raised will help him with medical bills and housing.
