My name is Merle and many of you may know me as the person who helps all creatures, large and small.
For the large, I have spent countless hours helping homeless people get off the street, or feeding them, and helping to make their situations more comfortable by collecting tents, blankets, toiletries and so much more.
For the small I have fostered over 150 animals through rescues and surrenders – often from homeless people who could not care for them. And I have made sure they find safe, loving fur-ever homes.
I took time off from technology MANY years ago to raise my children and when it was time to return to the workforce, the advances in my field had outpaced me. I am employed as a nanny without benefits, a retirement plan or any real safety net, but I love my families and what I do.
I work hard and feel that my commitment to my community is a calling of sorts.
Now I embark on my hardest ask – something for me. At the beginning of the year my car was stolen from my driveway; it was nothing fancy but helped me get around. I am not in a position to replace it and of course did not have full insurance coverage. So I am asking the community that has stepped up so many times before when I have asked for others, to help me.
Please consider donating to my GoFundMe to help me purchase a car. I thank you and assure you that soon I’ll be helping others again.
If You would like to donate directly you can do so with Venmo @merle-bisler last 4 digits are 3231.
With Gratitude,
Merle
