I am Kathy Jones and I am asking for your help so that I can buy a car for my father. His cancer returned this fall and he has recently had to undergo radiation treatments, for which he had to find rides because of his unreliable transportation. He has a vehicle but is constantly breaks down, despite his efforts to resurrect it again and again because of being on a fixed income. Due to this fixed income, he does not have the ability to buy or finance a car for himself at this point. As a teacher, I do not have the money to just run out and buy him a decent, working car that hopefully won't need immediate repairs on my own and I also live too far away to drive him myself. Another thing that is happening is that my father is currently looking for housing (he is on a waiting list) and a car would definitely open up his options in the meantime. Anything you can contribute will help me give my father a more stable situation.
