A Car for Edgar

Donation protected
This story is about a special man and a special employee. Let me start with why Edgar is a special man. Edgar has experienced a significant amount of loss in his life. His father passed away when he was young. His two younger brothers have also passed away since. At the young age of 22, Edgar is now just weeks, if not days, away from losing his mother to cancer that has spread throughout her body.
Edgar comes to work every day with a smile. He makes us all laugh. He genuinely brings joy to those around him despite what he is and has been going through personally.

When Edgar was hired he did not have a car. His goal for getting a job was to help provide for his daughter, who he is a single parent to, and to save money to buy himself a car. Edgar reached that goal of buying a car only for it to be stolen a few weeks later. This man has NEVER missed a day of work due to not having a car. This man is NEVER late to work despite him not having a car. In fact, this special young man actually comes to work sometimes two or three hours early, riding the bus every day, to make certain he gets there in time for the beginning of his shift. The bus drops him off and he then walks over half a mile to our facility, knowing there are people there that can come pick him up, but never asking for anyone to do so. He walks the rest of the way to work and from work back out to the bus stop almost every day.  Never once a complaint. Never anything but the sheer will and desire to work, to earn money, and to do well and succeed at any cost.

My goal isnt just to purchase Edgar a car. My goal isnt simply to help him pay for his car insurance.
My goal is to give someone HOPE. My goal is to provide a small glimpse of light at what seems like a very dark tunnel for someone.  My goal is to help show him that life isnt ALL bad. That sometimes bad things just happen to good people, and that GREAT things DO happen  for GREAT people.

Every dollar raised will 100% go to Edgar. I have been looking into and talking with my husband about the idea of trying to purchase Edgar a car. Today it was put on my heart to start this page for any additional support from anyone who may also be inspired by this young man. I thought if maybe I can even raise an additional $500, then that will help us buy him a little 'better' crappy car.  No amount is too small. No amount is unappreciated. And any amount is going to help change this man's life is so many ways.

I will happily share everything as this all progresses. Thank you to all who donate. Thank you to all who share this page. Thank you to all who feel inspired by this man like I have. And thank you to all of you who even took the time to read and consider this.  It is whole heartedly appreciated.
