On March 5th, 2025 at 4:20 PM, my daughters and I were hit by a driver who had no license and no insurance.
The crash was violent. Every single airbag in our BMW 530e deployed:
- Dual‑stage driver + passenger front airbags
- Driver & passenger knee airbags
- Seat‑mounted side airbags
- Curtain airbags on both sides
That’s six airbags exploding at once.
The steering‑wheel airbag slammed into me—bruising and burning my left chest. To date, I still carry bruises and deep contusions on my legs and chest.
My car was totaled. Six hours (not four) before the crash, I’d added it to my policy—but that technicality means no coverage for the car, medical bills, rental, or anything.
We were rushed to the hospital. We’re bruised, sore, healing—but far from recovered.
This crash shattered more than metal:
- It shattered our sense of safety.
- It disrupted my business.
- It shook our peace of mind.
My daughters deserve to feel safe again. I need to keep going—for them, for my work, for everything we’re rebuilding.
