A canopic jar for Carolyn

As all of us who knew and loved Carolyn are aware, she was a scholar and aficionado of Ancient Egypt. Knowing she would have appreciated having her cremains housed in an ancient Egyptian funerary vessel, I did some searching around and found a dealer specializing in Egyptian antiquities who is willing to sell this beautiful canopic jar for the very reasonable price of $1500. It is of alabaster and features Imseti, son of Horus, on the lid, meaning the jar would have housed its original owner's liver (Carolyn would no doubt have appreciated the irony).

I have discussed this idea with her mother Suzanne, who approves wholeheartedly, and I would like to purchase this piece and have it shipped to her in the name of Carolyn's close friends so she can put Carolyn's ashes inside.
