Nurturing Roots, Growing Minds-Support Unleashed Joy CDC!

Hi, my name is Brianna Meadows, and I’m on a mission to open Unleashed Joy, a child development center grounded in love, inclusion, and the holistic growth of every child.

Ever since elementary and middle school, I’ve felt called to teach. I would stay after school to help my favorite teachers organize lesson plans and classrooms—just to be part of something that mattered. That early spark grew into a lifelong passion.

In 2009, I began my journey in Early Childhood Education. While still in high school, I earned credentials to teach infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. My first teaching opportunity came as an intern at Woodstream Christian Academy, where I discovered how much I care about nurturing the whole child—academically, emotionally, socially, and cognitively.

Since then, I’ve spent over a decade growing in this field through nearly every role imaginable:

Infant and toddler teacher

Dedicated aide to a student with autism

Program Coordinator supporting children with developmental delays

Assistant Center Director managing operations and enrollment

Registrar, Principal’s Secretary, and Parent Engagement Specialist

And currently, an Early Learning Specialist coaching early educators in Washington, D.C.

Each role has taught me something new—and confirmed that this isn’t just my passion; it’s my purpose.

I believe early childhood education is not just “daycare.” It is the foundation of a child’s life. When we pour into their early years with love, structure, and intention, we change the trajectory of everything that follows.

That’s why I’m asking for your help.

Unleashed Joy will be a licensed childcare center located in Prince George’s County—an area where families urgently need more high-quality, affordable care. Our center will provide a nurturing, inclusive environment that supports children across all developmental domains—cognitive, emotional, social, physical, and language.

We’ll also support families with wraparound services that empower them to thrive alongside their children.

To bring this vision to life, I’m raising $10,000 to help cover:

Licensing and regulatory fees

Furniture, books, toys, and curriculum materials

Safety equipment and facility upgrades

Rent for our initial months

Marketing and outreach to connect with local families
