My name is Tiffany, and since October 2024 I’ve been working towards something bigger than myself — a calling I couldn’t ignore, becoming a kidney donor.

It started out for a local girl who urgently needed help. She received her miracle match, before my testing was done… but the calling in me didn’t stop. I knew deep down that my journey wasn’t supposed to end there.

So I chose to stay in the Kidney Pairing Exchange Program — a program that connects willing donors with recipients across Canada who would otherwise never find their match. My kidney may not go to the person I began the process for, but it WILL go to someone whose life depends on it. And in return, their loved one donates to another patient, creating a chain of transplants that save multiple lives.

It’s beautiful, it’s selfless, and I am honoured to be part of it.

As a single mom of five (four at home full time) and a small business owner, this choice comes with a lot of emotional and financial weight.

I run TLC Mobile Massage, a business I built from nothing — and when I donate, I will have to take two full months off work to recover.

Two months with no income as a self-employed parent. I have been blessed to bring on a subcontractor to maintain my clients wellness during my recovery, and slightly lessen my financial burden.

This fundraiser will help cover:

• Rent, utilities, and basic living costs during recovery

• Groceries and essentials for my kids

• Transportation to medical appointments

• Household support while I’m healing

• Lost income from being unable to work during recovery

I’m someone who shows up for my family, my clients, my community — and now I’m showing up for someone who needs a second chance at life.

I’m not afraid to give; I’m just asking for help so I can give without putting our home life at risk.
