In Loving Memory of Virginia: A Fund for Healing

It is with a heavy heart that I relay this news. Virginia’s life was tragically cut-short in a car accident in the early hours of January 29, 2024. Virginia passed away at the young age of 37, leaving behind 2 beautiful children, Liam and Safira. Her untimely departure has left a profound void, particularly in the lives of her children, who now face the complete upheaval of relocating to Chicago to live with their father and adapting to new surroundings and a new school -all while coping with the loss of their mother.

Virginia was a devoted mother, and a beacon of love and resilience. She made a significant impact on everyone she met. Even her move to Puerto Rico was driven by her commitment to creating a better life for her children; one that would be filled with nature, exercise, education, and abundance. Now, it is our collective responsibility to ensure that Virginia’s vision for her children doesn't fade away.

We appeal to you all for your support to help Mike (father), Liam, and Safira during this extremely challenging transition. While no financial aid can replace Virginia, it can at least provide a modicum of stability and security. Such support is essential to ensure that Liam and Safira's education proceeds with minimal disruption and to help maintain a semblance of normalcy for them in these challenging times.

Your support will be invaluable in managing the expenses that have arisen following Virginia's passing, which includes the cost of air travel for Virginia's family to attend her memorial service and celebrate her life, as well as aiding in the relocation of Liam and Safira to Chicago, including the costs of renting and furnishing a suitable house for the family, along with other unforeseen expenses that are likely to emerge during this transition.
