A Call for Compassion: Help Lay Baby Koda Lemar Love, to Rest
The death of someone you love is inexplicable. It is a pain that defies words, a weight that settles into the deepest corners of your psyche, your soul and never fully leaves. Losing a loved one, especially a child, is not just heartbreaking—it reshapes everything you know about life, leaving you standing in the space between hope and heartbreak, trying to piece together a world forever changed.
My dear friend Marleen is facing the unimaginable. After a healthy and cherished pregnancy, her beautiful baby boy, Koda Lemar Love, passed away at 38 weeks. His Mother, who was left to do the unthinkable— had to bring him into the world, knowing he had already become an angel. In a moment that was meant to be filled with joy and celebration, she was met with unspeakable tragedy.
This pain is raw, it is real, and it demands to be felt. But in the darkest moments, there is also a chance for light—a chance for all of us to come together, to support her as she navigates this heartbreak. We cannot take away her pain, but we can help carry the weight of it by easing the financial burden of giving Koda the loving farewell he deserves.
Your donations will go directly toward funeral and memorial expenses, helping Marleen lay her baby to rest with the honor, dignity, and love that every child deserves. No parent should have to endure this loss, but even in her grief, she is determined to give her son a beautiful goodbye. He deserves all of the love and nourishment in death he would’ve been given in his life.
Loss is a reminder of how fragile and precious life truly is. It teaches us, in its own devastating way, the profound power of compassion. Through the cracks of our brokenness, there is an opportunity for kindness to shine through.
We humbly ask for your support—whether through a donation, a share, or even just a prayer—to help Marleen in her time of need. Each act of generosity, no matter the size, is a testament to the power of love and community.
Thank you for standing with us during this difficult time. Thank you for seeing her pain and choosing to help ease it. Thank you for honoring the brief but beautiful life of Baby Koda.
With gratitude,
