Sigma Beta Fraternity has held an iconic presence on the University of New Hampshire campus for nearly 100 years. It has endured because of the ideals it embraces - "Loyalty and Brotherhood" - and because of the care, dedication, commitment and love its alumni has for the house, its brotherhood, the local community and the university. It has been a source of inspiration for many generations.
Today, after an amazing rebuilding of the physical structure and the culture that lives within it; we are faced with an economic emergency. The Coronavirus epidemic has shuttered life on campus. Our revenue stream has dried up, The house operates on a super tight budget and without your help, we may have to close our doors for good.
Up until this pandemic, Beta had a thriving active membership, was financially secure and had a solid cultural core. This unthinkable situation caused by the pandemic will create dire financial consequences for our fraternity. Our source of income has evaporated overnight. But our expenses will not go away. We are not going to get bailed out or receive relief from the Government.
We have no other option but to implement a Call to Arms 2.0. We need your generous support immediately. Please donate as much as you can so that we can protect our fraternity against this impending risk. Donations for this effort will be collected into a fund monitored by our SBAA Executive Board for prudent financial management of the house. Thank you.
