A call of support for the Marinello family
Donation protected
It is with great sadness that this is written. I want to start off by saying thank you! If you've gotten to this fund page, are considering donating, or have already made a contribution! It is incredibly received from the bottom of our hearts.
On Friday, August 12th we suddenly and tragically lost a family member. Our mother's only son, a beloved brother, a struggling father, a cousin of the ages, and a best friend to many who would do anything for those he loved. A man who lost his chance to carry on.
Anthony Josef Marinello was a force of nature, he faced trials and hardship with fierce determination. He worked hard to carve his path, even with boulders falling at every turn. When our father passed away 5 years ago It uprooted our lives. Our father was the man that shaped and inspired us all in many ways, especially our brother.
Tony learned every skill and did them well. More than well! He was an incredibly hard and determined worker. He could do anything he could put his mind to. He loved and cared for his people. He made us laugh and gauk In awe at how incredibly talented he was. Anthony was one of the most influential and charasmatic person in all of our lives.
It has been a hard road of addiction that has crippled our family by taking so many. Tony suffered for a number of years, he managed to escape addictions grip with the help of his mother Peggy and cousin Emerson. Emerson and his family welcomed him with open arms and has since given him a place to be safe and grow! For a long time, he thrived for himself and his family. When the demons are always there, it seems the only place to run to. It's a disease, and and a dominating one: our father, our brother, our aunts, and uncle, and many of out friends. Addiction is taking lives before they reach their full potential and with all to no access to mental health care. It will continue to plague ours (and many others) lives.
If you didn't know Anthony and you see his story that looks like so many others please don't judge and know that he so much more than how we lost him. He is a hero to many, and so many will suffer without him in their lives.
So now we ask for your support help us bring him to peace. We reluctantly ask for help for our family to afford all that comes next in our transition to a life without our loved one.
Anything donated will go towards cremation of the body and pieces for all of our family to have in their possesion. It's also crucial we are together and tavel costs are high for my mother and I to travel from out of state to celebrate our family member's life! We will also be having a benefit that is planned for Saturday, September 3rd. Please, feel free to reach out for further information on memorial! Donations toward these expenses will be greatly appreciated and honored by our whole family. Anything extra or over our goal will be put in an account for Anthony's son Donovan James Marinello.
Thank you for all your love and support!
