A Call for Help After Hurricane Helene - Supporting Family and Animal Care

Hurricane Helene has left our town (Lakeland, GA) devastated, hitting us harder than we anticipated at a CAT 4. I’m still coming to terms with the destruction we've faced: two barns, two shelters, roofs, a shop, thousands of feet of fencing, and so much more—completely torn apart in mere seconds. Miraculously, our horses have endured the storm with only minor injuries, and I am incredibly grateful that all our loved ones are safe.

In a departure from my usual practice of prioritizing others, especially my son and our animals, I’m reaching out for help following this disaster. While I navigate the emotional aftermath, I must remain strong for my family.

Several wonderful individuals have offered their support, and to manage this assistance effectively, I’ve set up GoFundMe and an Amazon wishlist featuring essential items for both our animals and our family's needs. Our household includes our 4-year-old son, four horses, two dogs, two cats, one bunny, and ten rescue cats/kittens, alongside a pregnant mother cat.
