A Butcher of Distinction - Theatre Fundraiser

We are Just A Regular House theatre company, and we are so thrilled to have secured a two week run of ‘a Butcher of Distinction’ by Rob Hayes at the Barons Court theatre this November - but we need your help to make it happen!

Post - Covid, many artists, actors, designers, technicians and theatre makers are struggling to get back on their creative feet and find funding to show brilliant writing, while providing a stage for young and emerging practitioners to share their talent. Our production would provide a well deserved platform for three actors, a director, designer and technician to show a wildly entertaining and confounding text in an intimate venue for a run of 10 shows.

All too often our industry relies on the generosity of artists lending their time, skill and knowledge for free. This is a broken system that excludes so much talent that simply cannot take on unpaid work, and exploits the enthusiasm of those who can. This production aims to pay every single team member a wage, while covering all the costs of staging a one act show in a London pub theatre venue.

This is where you come in! We are aiming to raise £1000 on top of our budget to help us ensure all costs and fees can be covered, including wages for our actors, designer, director, marketing, props, costume and set. We know we aren’t saving lives here - we just want to put on a play! But if you feel like chucking some spare change at a dedicated group who will put on a damn good, disturbingly funny play - then you’ve come to the right place.
