My Story and My Hope to Start My Life Again

I honestly don’t know where to begin my story, but I went through a terrible accident that completely changed my life and the lives of my children.

On the day of the accident, I was grilling fish. By mistake, instead of using the proper fuel for the charcoal, I poured thinner onto it without realizing what it was. When I went to light the charcoal, there was a sudden explosion. The fire caught my entire body, and the flames even went inside my mouth.

I suffered third-degree burns and had to spend four months in the hospital. The doctors told me that recovery from severe burns like mine could take nearly two years. But it has now been three years, and I am still living with the physical and emotional effects of what happened.

What hurts me the most is not only seeing the scars on my body every day, but also seeing how deeply this accident has affected my children. My children were there on the day of the accident, and they were the ones who tried to put the fire out and save me. They witnessed something no child should ever have to see—watching their mother on fire.

Since that day, their lives have not been the same.

Some of their friends have even made fun of them and cruelly said, “Your mother is burned.” Those words have deeply hurt my children. Their sadness has affected them so much that even their school performance has suffered.

As for me, I constantly hide my body. I feel ashamed of the way I look, and I struggle emotionally every single day. I am exhausted from hiding myself and from feeling like I can no longer live a normal life.

I asked doctors about surgery that could help remove some of the damaged, burned tissue and improve my condition. I was told that reconstructive surgeries may be possible for my situation.

This surgery is not simply cosmetic surgery to me. It is a chance to regain part of my life, to feel like myself again, and to be able to live in front of my children without constantly hiding my body.

My greatest wish is to heal for my children. They are everything I have. I want to see them happy again and give them the chance to focus on their lives and education without carrying the sadness they have lived with because of what happened to me.

That is why I am asking anyone who is able to help me to please stand beside me. No amount is too small. Every donation, no matter how small, can bring me one step closer to having my surgery and beginning a new chapter of my life.

I am not asking for a luxury. I am asking for a chance to live again, regain my confidence, and become stronger for my children.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who took the time to read my story, pray for me, or support me in any way.

May God bless you and reward you for your kindness.
