Alva was once a vibrant, intelligent young boy with a promising future. He excelled in school, loved sports, and had a passion for card games. However, as he entered his teenage years through no fault of his own this mental disorder began showing itself through declining academics (he was once in a Gifted program), isolation from family and friends, paranoia, delusions, and as many times occurs he struggled with substance abuse. All of this in the end leading to a devastating diagnosis of schizophrenia.

The Impact of Schizophrenia:

Schizophrenia is a severe mental disorder that distorts thoughts, perceptions, and behaviors. Alva's condition has robbed him of his once-bright future, leaving him isolated, unmotivated, and unable to function independently.

The Daily Struggle:

Isolation: Alva spends most of his days alone in his room, avoiding social interaction.

Cognitive Decline: He struggles with focus, concentration, and decision-making.

Limited Independence: He requires significant support for basic daily tasks.
