A Bridge of Support for Amy: Celebrating 17 Years with Gage

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of a true warrior, Gage. For those who knew him, Gage was a light—a "beautiful boy" who defied every odd stacked against him.
Gage lived with CACT (Carnitine-Acylcarnitine Translocase Deficiency), a rare metabolic disorder that requires intensive, around-the-clock care. While medical statistics often suggest a very short life expectancy for children with this condition, Gage graced this world for 17 incredible years. This miracle wasn't a coincidence; it was the direct result of the fierce love, tireless strength, and unbreakable will of his mother, Amy.
For nearly two decades, Amy’s world revolved entirely around Gage. She was more than a mother; she was his full-time caregiver, his medical advocate, and his constant source of comfort. Because of the level of care Gage required, Amy was never able to maintain traditional employment. Her life was a selfless labor of love, provided with a grace that inspired everyone around her.

Amy is the kind of person who would never ask for help herself. She has spent her life being the one who gives. However, she is now facing an incredibly difficult reality.
With Gage’s passing, the caregiving compensation and support that sustained their household have ceased. After 17 years of dedicated service to her son, Amy is not only grieving an unimaginable loss but also facing a sudden and total loss of income.
