Supporting Krissy Cutsinger’s Lung Transplant Journey

At just 40 years old and a single mother of 2, Krissy Cutsinger’s world changed forever. She was diagnosed with Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency (Type ZZ Genotype) — a rare, inherited condition that attacks the lungs and can lead to life-threatening respiratory failure. Despite her diagnosis, Krissy has faced every challenge with courage, faith, and an unbreakable spirit.

Now, Krissy’s only hope for a healthy future is a life-saving double lung transplant through the incredible team at Loyola Medicine’s Lung Transplant Department. The road to transplant — and recovery — comes with overwhelming medical costs, travel expenses, medications, and ongoing care needs.

Krissy has always been the one to lift others up — now it’s our turn to lift her. Every donation, big or small, will go directly toward Krissy’s medical journey, helping her focus on healing and breathing easier once again.
