Greetings,
I am writing this on behalf of the hair stylists and friends of Nancy Theodour, the receptionist/manager at the salon which is owned by her brother, Vance Theodour. We are currently seeking donations or gifts to serve as raffle prizes/silent auction items at a fundraiser in support of Nancy on Sunday, July 17 at 115 Bourbon Street, Merrionette Park, IL.
In 2018, Nancy was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Having finally found a way to successfully manage the disease which included various medications and CT scans, in November 2021, she discovered a lump on the side of her neck. Two surgeries later, she received the unthinkable second diagnosis: Stage 4 metastatic, non-small cell lung cancer. As a result, her treatment includes immunotherapy costing $12,000 every three weeks. While her health insurance covers some of the expense, Nancy is left to pay a substantial portion each treatment. In addition, she is dealing with the costs of PET scans, blood work, doctor appointments, and medications resulting in a rapidly growing amount of debt.
Through all of this, Nancy, who is single, is balancing work, doctor appointments, and treatments, but the financial burden of constant medical bills will soon be overwhelming, taking the energy needed for healing into worries about paying bills and the ability to stay in her home.
So it is with much hope that we reach out to you to seek financial help in donations of any kind to be used in a silent auction at her fundraiser in July. A gift of any amount is appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your support!
