This is Labiba, a beautiful soul from Bangladesh. When she was just 11 years old, her world turned upside down, she lost her beloved father. A year later, as if life hadn’t tested her enough, she was diagnosed with a rare condition called Friedreich’s Ataxia.

For those who don’t know, this illness slowly weakens the body, affects balance and movement, and over time makes even simple daily tasks extremely difficult. Despite it all, Labiba faces every day with courage, faith, and a smile that hides her pain.

Her mother has been her biggest strength, doing everything she can to keep her daughter’s treatment going from borrowing money, asking relatives for help, and never giving up hope. But now, even their closest supporters are struggling, and the cost of ongoing treatment in Bangladesh is beyond their means. Medicines and therapy are incredibly expensive, and the healthcare system for such conditions is limited.

Labiba is now 18. She dreams of living a normal, peaceful life to move around independently using an electric wheelchair, to continue with study, pay towards her therapy and

to simply be happy and independent like many teenagers her age.
