On December 5th, a beautiful litter of puppies was born into the world, full of promise and joy. One of these special pups, Dolly, found her forever home with the kind-hearted Lindy, Jason, and their children—including five-year-old Honey, who quickly became Dolly’s very best friend.
But a few weeks ago, Dolly suddenly became very unwell. She was disoriented, stumbling, and trying to walk into walls. It was a terrifying experience for her family. They rushed her to the vet, where she spent several days on fluids, fighting to recover.
After numerous scans and tests, Dolly was diagnosed with a serious congenital condition called a Liver Shunt. This means that the blood vessels that should filter toxins through her liver are not connected properly. Every time she eats, unfiltered toxins build up in her bloodstream, slowly poisoning her tiny body.
The good news is there’s a cure.
A specialist operation can correct the shunt and give Dolly the chance to live a full, healthy, and happy life. The surgery has a high success rate—but it comes at a cost of £5,000, on top of the £3,000 already spent on diagnostics and emergency care. Because Dolly wasn’t insured (she was too young when symptoms appeared), her family is doing everything they can to raise the money—but they need our help.
Until then, Dolly is on daily medication and a strict, bland diet to manage her symptoms. But the shunt is severe, and she needs the operation as soon as possible.
This isn’t just about saving a puppy’s life—it’s about giving a child her best friend back, and helping a family who has already given so much to try and save her. If you can spare anything at all, it will go directly towards Dolly’s life-saving treatment.
Please consider donating and sharing Dolly’s story far and wide. Every little bit helps—thank you from the bottom of our hearts. ❤️
