Hi everyone, August 3rd changed our lives instantly! That day after an eye exam we were instructed to IMMEDIATELY take 19 year old Ahkira to the emergency room. Upon arrival, we were told after some tests that Ahkira had a tumor that was taking up 25% of her brain! She went fearlessly into surgery 2 days later.
We are reaching out to our community to assist with the immense costs that come with this type of surgery. Ahkira does not have state insurance so the deductible will be extremely high. That coupled with the costs of her immediate needs after leaving the hospital is more than her family can bear.
Anything you can give will be greatly appreciated and used to pay for her hospital bills, after care, and therapy.
