My name is Mateo, and I am on a mission to bring something vital to Fremont, Nebraska: a community-focused boxing gym. This won’t just be a place to train—it will be a safe haven for our youth, a stress-relief zone for adults, and a welcoming home for people of all ages, shapes, and sizes. We just need a little help getting there!
Building Champions, Not Just Fighters
In our community, our kids need a place to go after school where they can find mentorship, discipline, and a sense of belonging. Boxing teaches more than just how to throw a punch; it teaches how to get back up when life knocks you down.
By providing a structured environment, we aim to:
Empower our youth with confidence and physical fitness.
Provide an inclusive space where everyone feels comfortable, regardless of their starting point.
Foster a "come as you are" culture that celebrates progress over perfection.
I was once that knuckle-headed kid with a chip on his shoulder. I had a problem with authority and you had to fight to get a please and thank you out of me. Until i found boxing. George and Angelo Giovanis of 15th Round Boxing in Sioux Falls, South Dakota taught me that boxing is more than just a fight. It taught me discipline, respect for myself as well as others, confidence, and how to think outside the box in every aspect of my life.
Where Your Support Goes
Starting a gym from the ground up requires a community effort. We are raising funds to secure a local facility and outfit it with the gear necessary to keep our members safe and motivated. Your donations will go toward:
The Gear: Heavy bags, gloves, hand wraps, and protective headgear.
The Foundation: Professional-grade flooring and mats to ensure a safe training environment.
The Community: Sticks and Stones Boxing will be giving right back to the community with donations and charity to people and families in need in any way that helps.
Join the Corner
We are more than just a town; we are a family. Every dollar donated stays right here in Fremont to help our neighbors get healthier and our kids stay on the right path.
Even if you can’t donate, please share this page with your friends, family, and coworkers. Together, we can build a stronger, healthier, and more connected Fremont.
Let’s get those gloves on!
