Hi, we, Anna Margolis and Anna Hakopian, are an author-researcher-illustrator team and for he last 6 years we are working on the exclusive artistic documentary book, that gives a voice and image to the 90-s childhood/youthhood in Armenia. This young generation of Armenians were living through the period of gaining independence after the Soviet Union’s collapse, , struggling through war, trying to study, play, love, meet friends and survive during a massive energy crisis. Our book with its multi-genre approach documents Armenian everyday lives through interviews , photos, memorabilia, ego-documents and last but not least - hundreds of wonderful full-color illustrations (all done by hand) made by an artist who herself was a young girl back then.

We were partially supported by different foundations on our journey, but now to finish the book on this stage of our work we need money for it to be truly artistic and high-quality. The cost of printing in Armenia, on suitable paper and in two languages is not an easy task, especially amidst new social and political challenges in the country. But we strongly believe that this story of Armenian struggle, hope and survival should be told through our first of its kind edition. We ask you kindly to help support or project, so we can finally finish and print our magnus opus. The name of each donor will be acknowledged in the book (if you wish).
