First, lets start off with who I am. Actually, thats really not important. All you really have to know is that I am one of the countless people who have been touched in some way or another by this man, Police Officer, father and friend....J'Rad Hurloc. One of the best men I have ever met.
So, if this is one of the best guys out there, why would he ever need the help of others? Well, to start lets just take a second to think about what exactly makes him such a great guy, friend and Police Officer.
Hurloc, as most of us call him, is one of those guys who is just always there. Not only is he there, but he is there with a huge smile, ready to help and ready to make your life better in the smallest but most significant way. That isn't an exaggeration. For all those reading this, you know exactly what I mean. He lifts people with his positivity and that "you can get through this" attitude because you know he is there and he is capable.
If you know Hurloc, you know he is kind of person who rides. Whether its a surf board in shark infested waters, a snow board on a avalanche ready mountain or a mountain bike down some crazy hillside, Hurloc rides!!! But it all started on a skate board. Most men outgrow the things they did as a chid, but Hurloc didn't. Hurloc never outgrew something he loves, the way he will never outgrow all of us, the people he loves.
So, back to why a man like this would ever need our help. Without dragging this on, he is getting surgery. Specifically, he is getting "Orthoscopic Hip Surgery."
That is not a little surgery, but even more important is the idea that the surgery prevents him from being able to do one of the things he loves doing most. RIDING!!! So, how can you help???
The surgery means he can't push a board, pedal a bike well, rip on a snowboard, and so on. Luckily, there is a company that has a Battery Propelled Skate Board called Boosted Boards, that will allow him to skate everywhere. And I literally mean EVERYWHERE!!!
