Hi, my name is Mike, but most of you know me as FatCat.

This GoFundMe is to help raise money to turn someone's Christmas Crisis into something closer to a Hallmark Holiday. I really hope that we can rally together to show one of our own what SIGMA is truly all about: friendship, community, and coming together to help others. Nobody personifies this culture more than our very own Altruistic Curse. (That's kinda how he got his name.)

Some of you know his current situation, but I'm sure most of you don't. Altruistic Curse owns a pizzeria in the Great White North. He has been pouring his heart and soul into this business for the last few years. About a month ago, his landlord announced with no warning that he had sold the property to a developer and that AC's restaurant would be no more.

Altruistic has spent November and December closing down the business, donating usable food, selling off his equipment to pay taxes, loans, and give his employees severance during the holidays when finances are already tight. He spends his free time caring for his mother while battling his own health issues, and he STILL makes times to be here for his captains, his alliance members, and help run the SIGMA cluster.

I am hoping we can rally together to show our support for a wonderful human who spends so much time sharing and supporting others. Those of you that know him well know the emotional stress and impact this has had on him. I would love it if we could surprise him and lighten his load during these trying financial times.
