Help My Dad, Eric, Recover After Surgery

Hi, my name is Katelyn, and I created this GoFundMe for my dad, Eric. On October 27th — his birthday — he’ll be going in for surgery to remove a hernia mesh that was put in years ago and has since failed. It’s been causing him severe pain for a long time, and he finally has the chance to get it removed and replaced with new mesh.

Unfortunately, he’ll only be receiving partial disability pay while he recovers, and that won’t come close to covering his regular expenses. He’ll be out of work for up to six weeks while healing.

My dad has always been a hardworking man who never asks for help. He’s the kind of person who shows up for everyone else, no matter what he’s going through. He didn’t ask me to make this fundraiser — I decided to because I can see how stressed and anxious he is about both the surgery and how he’ll manage financially afterward.

He’s suffered for so long with this pain, missing work and family events because it’s just been too much to handle some days. He truly deserves some relief and peace of mind while he recovers.

I know times are tough for everyone right now, but any amount — big or small — means so much. Every donation will go toward helping him cover bills, food, and other essentials while he focuses on healing.
