Hello everyone,

As many of you know, our son Alfredo Luis‑Gomes is turning 12 this month. For nearly three years, he has been passionately dedicated to fencing, training with focus and enthusiasm at his club Salle Paul Phoenix here in London.

Fencing has become a big part of his life — it brings him joy, discipline, confidence, and a sense of purpose,and it has also given him a close circle of friends who have become like family to him.

Over these years, he has had the wonderful opportunity to compete both in the UK and abroad, including France, Poland, and Portugal, where he has gained valuable experience, won several medals, and created beautiful memories along the way.

☺️Highlights of Alfredo’s Journey

One of the achievements Alfredo is most proud of — and rightfully so — is winning:

✅GOLD – English Youth Championships U11 (2025)

This was a huge milestone for him, reflecting his years of commitment and showing what he is capable of when he works hard and believes in himself.

He has also successfully qualified through the London Region for :

✅British Youth Championships 2026

✅English Youth Championships 2026

We are incredibly proud of the passion, dedication, and determination he brings to this sport.

Why We Created This GoFundMe

Many friends and family members have asked how they can support Alfredo or what they might give him for his birthday.
