A Birthday Ask: Support the Malaria Consortium
Tax deductible
Hey friends! As I celebrate my birthday this year, I’d be honored if you would join me in supporting the Malaria Consortium.
Malaria kills around 600,000 people each year, the majority of whom are children under 5 in sub-Saharan Africa. Through a simple and proven approach called seasonal malaria chemoprevention, children can be protected with preventive medicine.
Malaria Consortium distributes this medicine at the cost of just $7 a child and an average of $4,500 per life saved. And, Malaria Consortium is GiveWell’s top rated charity – meaning they are well studied experts at translating our dollars into impact.
Global health has always been close to my heart, and my personal experiences with long covid these last couple of years have given me an even greater appreciation for just how fragile health can be. As government funding for malaria prevention grow scarce, I’m hoping you’ll join me in our own small way in helping to fill the gap.
