A Billboard for Marley

Bring Marley Home 

We are the Kirchner family and we are raising funds to rent a billboard for Marley.

For those that don't know our story, our sweet Mar-Mar went missing while we were on vacation on Sept 6th, 2021 on Hilton Head Island, SC. We have searched endlessly and have done anything in our power to try to bring her home. My husband stayed on the island while my son, our other dog Ryelee, and myself had to return to Atlanta. He moved to the island for the next six months. Life froze for those six months and beyond. Milestones passed, but our hearts were lost in Hilton Head, wondering, hoping, and believing. Now, we are expecting a new human baby in November and it would mean the world to us for Marley to be home to help us welcome our new boy! Why a billboard?? - In February 2022, we hired a team of dog trackers and a drone pilot to search for our Marley. After numerous days on the ground, we were told their professional opinion, based on where the trail ended, the timing of sightings and all the other information they had, that Marley was picked up at the end of September on 278 by the south end of the Cross Island Bridge.

 

This leads us to today and this decision. We believe someone has our girl. We also think (and hope) that regardless of our social media efforts, they are unaware they have her and that she was LOST and has a home and family that is lost without her. We want to put up billboards on the main roads to and from the island. If a visitor has her- maybe they come back every year to visit and will see our sign! We have tried the news and social media- now we need to try campaigning with paper/visually! Please, if you can, help us raise the funds it takes to plaster our beautiful fur baby's picture on a big billboard and put her name in the paper!

 

We have received quotes from the billboard companies in the area and the Bluffton Sun. We are hoping to get two billboards up (minimum) to catch the eye of people from the North or South coming towards the island and run a campaign in the paper for (3) Months.

 

Billboards = $18,750 (Rates for 3 months for the 3 locations + the vinyl print and installation)

 

Paper = $768 (2 editions each month for 3 months)

 

Update 6.20.22: Have lowered the goal by $1,200 to account for the direct donations received.
