At first I was hesitant to create this go fund me page. I've never asked for help for Judson before. But...someone with the kindest of intentions messaged me and said "You know...this isn't about you. People love Judson and want to help, it makes them feel good. And it's actually not very nice that you won't let them". That struck a chord with me. 

So here it is...Judson's go fund me page for his new bike!!

Most of the people who will visit this page already know...but for those who don't, here's a "coles notes" version.

Up until about a year ago, one of Judson's favourite activities was riding his bike. Not only was it an incredibly important part of his physiotherapy program, it was one thing that he could be independent with. Riding his bike with his family and friends. What kid doesn't love riding their bike? The bike that Judson had been using was purchased by the school board. He outgrew it a year ago and the board is no longer funding bikes for students.

The other day, we had the opportunity to try out a bike that would fit him...and it was amazing. He lit up, he laughed, he exercised...it was just awesome to see that joy back.

As with anything that is labeled "adaptive" or "specialized"...this bike is prohibitively expensive and will cost upwards of $7000.00.

After seeing him "back in the saddle" yesterday, it is clear to me that its so important for him to have this bike for both his physical and mental health...to be included in this activity with both friends at school and family.

So...if you are one of those people who I was "blocking" from showing Judson a little love...I'm sorry...and thank you for loving him <3
