Charlotte / Claude has mentioned that she's in need of a bike, and I would love to make that happen! With your contribution we could get her a really great and functional new one. This is a practical gift that will also hopefully bring her lots of joy! It will be particularly useful this summer when she's zipping to her course on weekends and evenings. As well as the necessity of this item, it's also a gesture from us all to let her know how proud we are of her as the navigates this stage of transition with such stoicism and grace. Hopefully every time she rides her new bike she will feel our collective love and support!

I hope to raise a little more than the bike's value so she can get a basket, bell and helmet too.

I understand that everyone has their own way of supporting C, and so there is no pressure to contribute. I'm also aware that some people may not want to donate to something that isn't a charitable cause - but perhaps you could re-frame it as an early birthday present from her nearest and dearest (better to receive before the end of the summer!).
