a MASSIVE thank you swim
On 8th February my husband Sam had an accident which lead to a severe head injury and serious bleed to the brain . The resulting outcome was 3 weeks in critical care in Dumfries Infirmary. When he came round he had lost all use of his left side from his fingers to the tip of his toes.
Spending 8 further weeks in re-hab he then advanced for the last month to Lochmaben Community hospital where he received further tremendous care.
Sam got home on 28th April and is steadily recovering and slowly getting his mobility back.
I would like to thank everyone for all the good wishes to Sam and our family during the dreadful time we went through .
The care he received in Dumfries infirmary and his final month in Lochmaben hospital is who I wish to donate the proceeds from a 31 mile swim ( 1 mile / per day of July ) in the DG1 pool. Can I in anticipation of your generosity thank all who give anything to this great caring community hospital.
