Hi guys, thankyou so much for taking the time to click on our page and supporting something very close to our hearts. A big day is approaching for a little guy with a very big heart… and a whole lot of hair.

This is my son, Cub Gaffney. He’s 8 years old, full of curiosity, compassion, and occasionally grass stains. We like to call him Mowgli. On Wednesday the 6th of August, he is doing something that makes us all incredibly proud: he’s cutting his long, beautiful hair to donate it to a child who needs it more than he does.

Now let me tell you, growing your hair out for over two years when you're 8 isn't as easy as it sounds. There have been tangles and knots, comments from strangers, and the constant comment of him having to say "I'm not a girl, I'm a boy".

But through it all, Cub stayed focused. Why? Because he learnt that some children lose their hair due to things like cancer and alopecia. And instead of just feeling sad about it, he said, “Well, I have hair. I can share mine.”

He is only 8 years old, And already choosing kindness over comfort. As parents, we try to teach our children to do good. But sometimes without even knowing it, they end up teaching us.

Cub could’ve stopped there. Cut the hair, donate it, and move on. But he wanted to do more. So if possible, we’re asking for your help please.

We’re raising funds for "little lady locks", a beautiful organisation that helps children who are going through tough battles. Whether it’s providing wigs, emotional support, or just a little joy during a hard time, your donation helps bring light where it’s needed most.
