A Better Life for Buddy...and a new hip
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Grainger, and I'm a dog lover. On Saturday, May 21, I accidentally drove to a job site on the wrong day...or was it?
When I arrived at the Hip Pocket Theatre in west Fort Worth, I saw no other workers there, but I did see that I was not alone. On the other side of the property's front gate was this extra-large, forlorn specimen of doghood. Even though he was behind the gate, I approached him cautiously, and when I greeted him with a "hey, buddy" he perked up. He also stood up to reveal a badly injured left hind leg upon which he trod gingerly. I realized then that my mistake in showing up on the wrong day was no mistake.
Anyhow, to make a long story short, I took him home, and over the past week and a half I've seen that he's gotten all his shots, and his injury x-rayed. I also found out he's between one and two years old - full grown, but still a pup with many years ahead of him. That's why I want to get him healthy and find him a forever home.
Today I had a consultation with a veterinary surgeon whom I trust, as he has worked wonders with my rat terrier Pancho. According to Dr. Dean, Buddy needs a complete hip replacement. For a dog his size, anything short of that would be insufficient, and eventually problematic.
So he's scheduled for surgery this month. The dollar amount I'm trying to raise is not a penny more (and actually 80 cents less) than the total medical expenses I have already incurred. I don't expect to raise all of it, but every little bit helps, and no contribution is too small.
I thank you for your time and consideration in reading this.
Peace,
Grainger
