Help me stay in Graduate School
Donation protected
After months of battling depression, pressure and anxiety, I am happy to finally announce that I will be attending University of Michigan this Fall 2018. I strongly believe that my essays, work ethic and fight are some of the reasons why I was able to get a full ride.
I have advocated and strategized ways with the University of Michigan to not only support my education but to also support my status as a DACA, low income, first generation student. I worked diligently to get scholarships from this institution and also found ways to appeal my financial aid package. Although I got a full ride, there’s still a gap in paying for housing and other personal expenses. Raising 5,000 will not only bring me closer to my aspirations and dreams but it will ensure my retention at Michigan.
I have worked incredibly hard to earn a Bachelors Degree at UC Berkeley and my hunger to continue my education at the Graduate level has both been exciting and nervewracking.
I have been fortunate enough to have people in my life that believe in me and have given me the courage to believe in myself too. The support I have received has inspired me to continue my studies.
Every small or big donation will bring me closer to my dream of being the first person in my family to get a Masters Degree and using this degree to improve the lives of others in need.
