A Bench for Kirstie: Cherished Memories

Kirstie loved life. She loved her family, and she loved her friends. She loved traveling and soaking up the sun. She loved beaches, lakes, rivers, and she loved the mountains. She enjoyed hikes with her children, Levi & Lily, and spent many a spring & summer day hiking the “Storybook Trail” in Rathdrum, Idaho, where she lived. Kirstie and her grandchildren built beautiful memories outdoors, particularly on this fun, easy-for-kids, exciting trail. When family or friends from out of state came to visit, hiking the Storybook Trail was definitely on the agenda that she planned perfectly for their vacation. Storybook Trail in Rathdrum is a beautiful hike through pine trees where the ground is covered in fern (her favorite) and has a beautiful creek running through it.

The City of Rathdrum has a memorial bench program where you can purchase a bench, with an engraved plate, on a concrete slab, and have it placed almost anywhere within the city of Rathdrum. We want to do something for Kirstie and memorialize her life with a bench, in her name, to be built on the Storybook Trail. The trail is absolutely beautiful, and we know that she would love a piece of her memory to always be there.

The bench costs $550. We are looking for donations to help us achieve this goal. Whether big or small, your donation helps us keep Kirstie’s spirit alive in a place she loved so much.
